Specializing in the best music from the 70's and 80's but with a repertoire from the 50's to today, we can tailor a musical event to fit your needs! We formed in 2012, joining musicians from top San Diego bands to form a team committed to making every client happy with their entertainment choice!
We can add a DJ to our lineup as well, serving as the Emcee for your event.

Meliesa McDonell
Meliesa cut her teeth fronting an original rock band on the famed Hollywood Sunset Strip as a teenager. After a hiatus lasting much of the 1990s, she moved to San Diego and attended college as a Vocal Music major where she honed her 4 octave pipes into a formidable instrument, and ventured out as a solo singer/guitarist. She recorded a solo CD, became in demand as a session singer and voice teacher, and fronted several local cover bands and two international acts. Upon joining HITMAN HONEY, the band immediately rose to become one of San Diego’s premiere classic rock and dance acts, playing some of the best large rooms in the city! Meliesa holds nothing back onstage, and is accomplished in providing voice accurate performances that emulate the original artists – our ‘not so secret’ weapon!
John Naylor
John picked up the guitar at the age of 8 and hasn’t looked back! His aggressive guitar rhythms and melodic lead work helps define HITMAN HONEY’s ability to cover such a wide range of material! He's a big part of HITMAN HONEY’s unique ability to deliver the three-part vocal harmony performances that everyone remembers from their favorite super bands. John’s last project was an award winning band that placed second (out of 100 acts) in all of San Diego at Viejas Casino’s ‘Ultimate Music Challenge’, winning a $10K prize purse! His goal at every HITMAN HONEY show is that the audience leaves at the end of the night saying “WOW! Best cover band I’ve ever seen.”
Mikey Pannone
Mikey has played and toured across the country as well as Europe with many bands since he relocated to San Diego from his home state of Rhode Island. He’s also done session drumming on many collaborations in both San Diego and Los Angeles. When he's not playing an event with us, he plays in numerous local bands. Make no mistake, Mikey is the the rock-solid rhythmic foundation to HITMAN HONEY’s powerful sound.

Our founding member Ryan Brewer helped to craft our signature sound, and we now have Zach Wheeler covering bass duties and continuing the legacy! Zach has an awesome range, from funk and dance to rock of all flavors, including mastery of the Geddy Lee parts when we play Rush songs.
